If the pump is still running after the ignition is turned off:
This can be a fault with the pump; however it can also be caused by a fault in the alternator. If the diode/rectifier pack fails in the alternator, this can cause a live feed direct to the pump causing it to continue running when the ignition is off. We strongly suggest this is investigated before the pump is replaced, as this can cause damage to the new pump.
Test the power supply to the pump with the ignition off, this should be zero. If a supply is detected this indicates there is a problem in the alternator and this will need to be corrected before the new pump is fitted.

A brief outline of the process is as follows:
  • Units are Cleaned.
  • Initial test for fault diagnosis and to identify the programming and software version.
  • Complete disassembly so that all mechanical components including the rotor can be examined for wear and damage, any components which fall outside our stringent standards are replaced. 
  • The ECU is removed and tested. All high load components are replaced. Any boards beyond repair or boards with broken plug/sockets are replaced.
  • Reassembly - the unit is assembled using new seals, o rings and bearings.
  • Following reassembly, the completed unit is subject to rigorous mechanical and electronic testing on our state-of-the-art equipment. The test takes the unit far beyond its normal operating loads. This allows us to have full control over the operational standard of every steering pump we produce.
 
The item comes with a 24 month warranty. This starts from the date of purchase and is limited to the purchase price of the item, we do not cover the cost of diagnostics, labour and transport.
 
We are open Monday to Thursday from 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 4pm. Unfortunately, emails cannot be answered outside of these times.
 
An invoice showing VAT will be supplied with your purchase.

  • WE REQUIRE THE RETURN OF THE OLD UNIT AFTER REMOVAL FROM THE VEHICLE.
    Your warranty is not activated until we have received the old unit.
    Please return the old unit within 21 days of purchase to activate your warranty. If this isn't possible you can call us to make alternative arrangements.

    We can send a free of charge return postage label, a printer is required for this.

    1. Simply call us when the parcel is ready.
    2. We will email the parcel label.
    3. Attach this to the parcel and drop it in at any Post Office.
     
    Your warranty is not activated till we have received the old unit.
